The Local Church in Bergen
You can find local congregations of God’s people all over the world. We are simply Christians who live in the Bergen area and work together for the Lord. All members have been baptized into Christ and try to live each day for the Lord (Galatians 3:27). Over the years, the membership has gone up and down. You will find many churches that change everything they practice to get more people interested in their church. Our purpose in Christ’s church is to serve God just the way He outlined in the New Testament. Even though society changes and the things people want changes, we don’t change anything on the grounds that people believe it is obsolete. That does not mean we believe we have to sit around a fire and draw in the dirt. We embrace new technology (like this website) and use it to God’s glory. Quite simply, we serve God alone and to the best of our ability. God is our King. We humble ourselves before Him and obey His every Word (Deuteronomy 8:3).
After obeying God’s will, our biggest desire is to help others in their relationship with God. Do you want to serve God just like He wants us to do and like we see the New Testament Christians did?
